1) Agreement to Terms

By creating an account or using Still Safe, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2) Service Summary

• Free tier: receive notifications only.
• Paid tier: unlocks full check-in and SOS functionality.
• Trial: a 1-month free trial is available; you can cancel anytime before the trial ends to avoid charges.

Important: Still Safe does not contact emergency services. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (e.g., 911 in the U.S.).

3) Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old and legally capable of agreeing to these Terms. Keep your account info accurate and secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

4) Subscriptions, Billing & Trial

• Subscriptions are billed through Apple using your App Store account.
• Trials convert to paid automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
• Manage or cancel in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• Refunds are handled by Apple per App Store policies.

5) Acceptable Use

• Do not harass, spam, or misuse contact details or notifications.
• Only add contacts you are authorized to contact.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or overload the service.
• We may impose rate limits or cooldowns to protect the service and users.

6) Location & Notifications

Location sharing is optional and controlled by you. If you enable location services, Still Safe may track your location when you significantly change your location to maintain your last known location for safety purposes. This location data is only used for the app's safety features and is never sold or shared with third parties. Location data is only shared with your chosen contacts when you explicitly enable location sharing for specific safety sessions. You can disable location and notifications at any time in system settings and in-app.

7) Advertising

The free tier of Still Safe may display advertisements through Google AdMob. These ads are provided by third-party advertising networks and may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver personalized ads. We do not control the content of these advertisements. By using the free tier, you acknowledge and agree to the display of advertisements. Premium subscribers do not see advertisements.

8) Termination

You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect users or the service.

9) Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation or that notifications will reach recipients in every circumstance.

10) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or security incidents. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim, if any.

11) Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Still Safe LLC from and against claims arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

12) Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas and applicable U.S. federal law. Venue for disputes is the state or federal courts located in Kansas, USA.

13) Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. We'll revise the "Effective" date and, when appropriate, notify you in-app or by email. Your continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
