Is Still Safe an emergency app?
No. Still Safe does not contact police or emergency services. It's designed to quietly alert people you trust when something may be wrong — especially in situations where emergencies aren't obvious or immediate.
What happens if I miss a check-in?
If you miss a scheduled check-in or a safety timer expires, Still Safe automatically sends a notification to the trusted contacts you selected. That message can include context you've pre-written, so they know what to do next.
Do my contacts need the app?
Yes. Your contacts will receive alerts by notifications directly to the app, but they do not need to be on the premium subscription in order to receive alerts.
When should I use a safety timer?
Safety timers are great for short, everyday activities like: taking a shower, going for a walk, running an errand, or meeting someone new. If the timer ends and you don't stop it, your contact is alerted to check on you.
Can I use Still Safe for pets or home care?
Yes. Many people use Still Safe to make sure someone checks on their home or pets if they don't return as expected. You can include custom instructions in your alert so your contacts know what matters most.
Does Still Safe track me all the time?
Still Safe tracks your location when you significantly change your location, in case your phone dies or something else happens. We have your latest location to share with your contacts (only if you decide to do so). We will never share this information with anyone you haven't authorized or with any third parties. Your information is secure and protected.
What if I lose signal or my phone dies?
Still Safe is designed with that in mind. If your phone goes offline and you can't confirm a check-in, your contacts are still notified — because silence is the signal.
Can I stop or hide a live activity discreetly?
Yes. Live Activities can be ended visibly while continuing in the background if needed, and protected with biometrics or a PIN so only you can control them.
Is Still Safe good for older adults or people living alone?
Absolutely. Still Safe is often used by older adults, people living alone, caregivers, and families who want peace of mind without constant check-ins. It works quietly in the background, without nagging or complex steps.
Is Still Safe free?
Yes. The free plan lets you receive alerts, add contacts, and use basic safety timers. Premium unlocks scheduled check-ins, longer timers, live activities, and automation — with a 1-month free trial.
What should I do in a real emergency?
Still Safe does not replace emergency services. If you're in immediate danger, call 911 (or your local emergency number) right away.
